Rain or Shine, Live Music Event in Sussex Tonight

The concert series is back, and this time Andrea & the Mods will be performing on the lawn at from 6-8 p.m., free of charge.

And the recent string of spotty rainclouds won't deter the concert from happening. Sussex Parks and Recreation Director says they’ll decide this afternoon whether or not to move the concert to a more rain-friendly location. 

“We are for sure having the concert, but we might end up moving it to the Lions Open Air Shelter at ,” Flaherty said. “We’ll be making that decision by 3 p.m.”

Sussex on June 21 for the first concert of the summer where people rocked out to the band Annie B and the Vagabond Company. But while Annie B was more soul and rock, Andrea & the Mods describes themselves as a three-piece band that covers hits of the 60s and 70s. 

The concert is the Sussex will see at the park near the library and Village Hall this summer. Residents are invited, free of charge, to set out blankets and set up chairs at the park while the band plays. There are even brats, burgers and beer for sale while enjoying the music.

The final installment of the concert series is on August 16 and will feature West of East, an alternative country band.
