Shop 'Til You Drop at Willow Springs
The local elementary school is bringing in more than 40 retailers to help you get a head start on holiday shopping while supporting a great cause.
Who knew it was so easy to donate money while having fun shopping?
The elementary school's parent group is hosting its 12th annual “Shop ‘Til You Drop” community shopping night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. More than 40 home-based retailers are joining forces with the elementary school to help raise money.
The Willow Springs parent group receives a portion of the proceeds from the businesses to help fund activities for the 4-year-old kindergarten program. Also, a raffle will be held with prizes donated from the retailers and the community.

All residents need is $1 to enter the event. Parking is free, and a raffle ticket is given to everyone who attends.
“It’s a popular event,” said Denise Lindberg, the spokeswoman for the district. “The money goes towards things the parent group can support at the school, and it supports local home-based businesses.”
