Police Reports: Jewelry Thief and OWI

This is a list of the most interesting police reports in Sussex last week.

Personal Theft

Monday, Jan 30 at 7:00 p.m.
Police were called to apartments on the N64W24000 block of Main Street Monday evening after a resident noticed some pieces of jewelry missing. Two rings, valued at a total of $150, were taken. Police, however, developed a suspect. A 36-year-old neighboring tenant is suspected to have stolen the rings and pawned them for the cash. Detectives are still investigating, but no charges against the man are currently pending with the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office.

OWI

Thursday, Feb. 2 at 1:45 a.m.
Police pulled over a 23-year-old Sussex woman Thursday morning on the W238N6400 block of Elmwood Avenue after suspecting her of driving under the influence of alcohol. Police determined she was intoxicated, took her into custody and issued citations for an OWI.
