Police Reports: Delivery Thief and a Hit and Run

This is a list of the most interesting Sussex police reports from the past week.

Theft
Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 4:01 p.m.
Police were called to the W2500 Block of Silver Spring Drive after a 54-year-old Sussex woman reported a theft. According to the report, Wal-Mart delivered a 40-inch flat screen television to her home. However, the victim wasn’t home when the company arrived, so the deliverymen left the TV outside of her home. When she returned, the expensive electronic was gone.

Retail Theft
Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 4:28 p.m.
An unknown man was seen stealing from the Sussex department store at the corner of Main Street and Highway 164 Wednesday. Surveillance footage caught him snagging ties, dress shirts, gloves dress pants and other items valued at more than $400. The police are following up on the theft in hopes of finding the man.

Hit & Run
Thursday, Nov. 24 at 8:05 p.m.
Police were called to the W2400 block of Eagle Ridge Court after a 23-year-old man discovered his drivers-side mirror was swiped off his vehicle and there were scratches along the door. The man was parked on the street from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and police have yet to find the driver.

Theft
Saturday, Nov. 26 at 4:15 a.m.
A 31-year-old Sussex man called police to his home on the W2400 block of Stonegate Court after he found his Nintendo Wii was stolen. Police are still following up on the report.
