Freezing Rain, Snow to Hit the Area Through Friday

The National Weather Service has issued several advisories for the area.

Waukesha County remains in a freezing rain advisory until 9 a.m. Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, light and freezing rain will continue to cause hazardous driving conditions, with ice accumulations of up to an inch. 

The area is also under a hazardous weather outlook through Thursday night and possibly into Friday morning. Low pressure passing through southern parts of Wisconsin could bring a mixture of light rain and snow.

The snowfall is expected to stop late Friday morning, though 1 to 2 inches is possible.

On Sunday and Monday, deep low pressure coming across the Great Lakes may turn into a wind advisory for the area.
