Blood Drive Scheduled for Spring Fest

Over 1,000 people attend Spring Fest, and giving blood is an easy way of giving back.

BloodCenter of Wisconsin will conduct a mobile Blood Drive March 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at , held at , W220 N6151 Town Line Road in Sussex.

The Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the , are hosting this bi-annual event, typically attended by 1,000 residents.

In addition, over 250 people from Sussex, Lisbon, Menomonee Falls, Butler and Pewaukee-based businesses and organizations will be working the event, providing crafts and fun for everyone who attends.

Donating is an easy way to make a profound difference in your community. By donating blood through BloodCenter of Wisconsin, you are giving a priceless gift to children and adults who are seriously injured, facing surgery or being treated for cancer.

Nearly 800 donors are needed every day to help maintain the supply to hospitals served by BloodCenter of Wisconsin. Anyone who is in general good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. The entire process takes about an hour and all blood types are needed. Donors should bring a photo ID.
