PHOTOS: Youth Art Reception Huge Success at Library

Hamilton art students showed off their work at the library to a group of more than 600 art enthusiasts.

Art students throughout the wrangled in a crowd Thursday night in honor of the , and the number of Sussex residents that showed up amazed organizers. 

Celebrated at the , the art reception honoring students and teachers ran between 4-6 p.m.

Kara Rosenthal, the library's youth services director, took photos during the event and was impressed with the turnout.

"We had 642 people visit the Hamilton Youth Art Month art reception last Thursday!" Rosenthal said. "The provided refreshments, and the library's children's department provided create-your-own art activities and face painting."

The Jazz Ensemble also performed during the event, and the high school's AP art students had a special display in the Quad/Graphics Room in the library.
