Fourth of July Celebration Gets an Early Start in Sussex

The holiday will begin with the Kiddie Parade at 9:15 a.m., and the festivities will continue throughout the day and night at Village Park.

Every year, the Fourth of July tends to sneak up on us all. Well, it's never too early to get your plans prepared for the summer's biggest holiday. 

In Sussex, the festivities begin bright and early. The Kiddie Parade will step of at 9:15 a.m. July 4 in the Village Hall parking lot. North Shore Bank is offering free bike decorating kits starting June 24 at its Sussex branch. The parade route moves toward Village Park, and carnival-style games and ice cream await.

The night begins with live entertainment starting at 7 p.m. in Village Park, and the fireworks show will light up the sky at 9:20 p.m. The fireworks display is provided by Bartolotta Group, and seating will be available on the sledding hill.
