Sussex Native Sets Another Ripon College Track Record
Michelle Matter added another record to the ones she has already set at Ripon College.
Sussex native Michelle Matter broke a record when she finished first in the 10K at an UW-Oshkosh Invitational.
The Ripon College track and field senior broke a 23-year old school record in the event by 34 seconds with a time of 38:44.47 earlier this month, according to a recent news release from Ripon College.
Matter is no stranger to breaking records, according a March news release from Ripon College. Not only is she a four-time all-state and all-conference runner but also holds the women’s school record in the 6K (22:09) and she broke her own school marks in the 3K (10:19) and 5K (17:39). Just this year Matter also set a new indoor school record for the mile run (5.11).
