The Peanut Butter Pyramid

Students collected 350 containers of peanut butter for the food pantry.

Each week, Menomonee Falls Patch and Sussex Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

We want to hear about these amazing children and teens, and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. Submit your nomination in our comment box below or e-mail the information to Editor Mark Maley.

This week's Whiz Kids

Who: The Marcy Leadership Group: Madison Adams, Halle Steiner, Isabela Costa, Taylor Laboy, Mathieu Ackaouy, Jared Wesline, Noah Kristensen and Kinnan Lassiter.

Key to Awesomeness: The Marcy Leadership Group includes a boy and a girl from each of the school’s four fifth-grade classrooms. School counselor Lori Schlapman meets with them every other Friday to plan, and coordinate donations and fundraisers.

Other projects they have participated in include: ink cartridge collection (for recycling and to raise money) and toiletry collection for overseas troops (with help from a Marcy student’s relative in the Army).

They recently had a candy necklace sale, and donated the money raised to the fifth-grade SOAR program (outdoor education.)
