Templeton Bulldogs Football Teams Go 2-1 Last Week

Week highlighted by the eighth-grade White team beating Watertown, 41-0.

The Templeton Bulldogs football squad went 2-1 in action last week. Below are the results of the hard-fought games. 

7 Blue

The 7th Grade Blue team finished their regular season at Waukesha South on Saturday. The Bulldogs lost 21-6. Adam Hartung scored on a 35 yard touchdown run. Nick Gierach had an interception to lead the defense.  

8 Blue

On a wet muddy Saturday morning the TMS Blue Bulldogs traveled to Waukesha South. The Blackshirts held off the Dogs 14-8. For the Bulldog D Patrick Andrews and Ezra Heinritz both had career days as the both collected 6 solo tackles each. Ryan Hubell added four of his own and recorded and interception. That inception was caused by the deflection Devin Yates. Andrews and Cy Howard also recorded fumble recoveries. For the offense it was running back by committee. The Bulldogs pounded away on the ground led by Nick Mirasola and Gage Minor who both had 30 yards each. The lone score came through air as Hubbel found Minor wide open for a 25 yard pitch and catch.

8 White

The Bulldogs needed a win to bring their record to 3-3-1.  The Dogs ended their regular season victorious over Watertown with a 41-0 score.  Offense, defense and special teams all played a huge role in the success of the Bulldogs. Offensively, the Dogs had many big time plays from players like Jordan Smith's 40 yard TD run.  Ethan Rentmeester added a 35 yard run for a TD.  Joey Bolda had a 20 yard TD run and JD Augustine and Cooper Vance each scored a TD.  Defensively, the Dogs were led by Jordan Smith with 6 tackles and Cole Roepke with 5 tackles.  Matt Kolesari added a safety by making a great tackle in the endzone.  Special teams added some scoring, as well.  JD Augustine caught a punt and returned it for a 64 yard TD and Calli Seston kicked the extra points. The Bulldogs will combine both teams and play a scrimmage at 7:00PM Friday night against Menomonee Falls before playing in a tournament at Chula Vista on Saturday, October 27th.
