Chargers' Brady Ellingson is Conference Player of the Year

Hamilton was 21-3 this season and Brady Ellingson, a junior, was among the top 20 scorers in the state.

Brady Ellingson, a junior at Hamilton High School, was voted the boys basketball Player of the Year in the Greater Metro Conference, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Ellingson averaged 22.7 points per game, according to WisSports.net. That was tied for 19th in the state, based on the website’s rankings.

The Chargers finished tied with Brookfield Central atop the conference standings at 13-1, and then lost 49-36 to Arrowhead in the WIAA Regional final.

Also on the Greater Metro first team from Hamilton was Tony Gumina, and Andy Cerroni was Coach of the Year. Mark Gryszkiewicz and Jake Knueppel were awarded honorable mention, according to the Journal Sentinel.
