Road Work Ahead As Sewer Lateral To Be Fixed Wednesday

Village asks drivers to be patient and to go slow through work zone near the Piggly Wiggly.

Traffic in downtown Sussex along Main Street may become a little congested on Wednesday as crews fix a sewer lateral near the Piggly Wiggly.

According to the sewer department officials, the emergency work should be complete by the end of the day on Wednesday.

Crews will be repairing a sewer lateral that was damaged when workers dug borings this summer.

The village will keep the street open, but it may be down to one lane at times.

"Please go slow," implored the village on its site Tuesday.
