Dietrich, 57, N60W22995 Silver Spring Drive, is finishing his first term on the Village Board, and he said his skill sets will continue to be useful as Sussex moves forward.

Batzko, 45, W245N5713 Partridge Lane, served as a trustee from 2005 until 2010 when he resigned, but decided to run again because he still wants to help the community. He works as a Delafield police officer, and had put emphasis on issues such as local ramifications on the village of the state budget and the major redevelopment coming in the downtown area.

Batzko said he and Dietrich both had strong name recognition because they each ran for state office in 2010, which most likely helped decide the election.

“I’ve made a lot of contacts, I live in a big subdivision and I’ve got three kids in the school system, so I know a lot of people,” Batzko said. “I think that’s what put me back there.”

Dietrich, who works as a tractor-trailer driver and was unavailable for comment Tuesday evening.

Wegner, W238N6449 Elmwood Ave., a 360year resident of the village will serve his third term on the board. He didn’t return phone calls seeking comment Tuesday evening.
