At 10:39 p.m. Nov. 20, a Milwaukee police officer on patrol in the 3000 block of North 20th Street spotted Perry driving a Lexus with excessively dark window tint, so he decided to pull the car over. However, Perry slowed down, tossed paper out of the passenger side window, then kept driving until he stopped just south of West Burleigh Street.

Perry was ordered out of the car and officers found paperwork for Louis Hoffman Company, which included a paycheck made out to Perry. Officers then went over to the paper tossed out the car and found it was a paycheck stub also from Louis Hoffman Company.
