Drug Charges Result Friday from Feb. 2012 Traffic Stop in Sussex

Stephanie Landry was unable to recite the alphabet when she was pulled over near the Open Pantry last February.

A Sussex woman was charged Friday with possession of narcotic drugs dating to a February 2012 traffic stop at the Open Pantry in Sussex.

According to a complaint filed Friday, Stephanie Landry, now 24, was the driver in a car swerving all over the roadway in the area of Hwy 74 and Sussex Road. Waukesha County deputies pulled the car over, and Landry was unable to recite the alphabet or months of the year, and admitted to being on Oxycodone.

Later, while Landry was changing into an orange shirt at the Waukesha County Jail, an officer observed a small baggie stuck under her left underarm. A powdery substance inside was proven later to be heroin.
