Obituary: Allen J. Berens

January 16, 1932 - August 13, 2013

Allen J. Berens passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Devoted husband of Mary (nee Neumann) for 62 years. Cherished father of Allen Jr. (Susan), Sandra James, Michael (Marianne) and Jeff (Chris). Loving grandpa of Jason (Kelly), Michele, Nicole, Heather (Anthony), Shannon (Rick), Tom (Tina), Stephanie (Ben), Austin (Jenni), George (Victoria), Ashley (Dan), Amber (Max) and Jeremy. Great-grandpa of Kelly, Ricky, Jordan, Jackson, Natalie, Madyson, Gavin, Dominic, Anastasia and Payton. Brother-in-law of Virginia.  Preceded in death by his brother Joe and great-grandson Jayden. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Allen was a dedicated employee for the Village of Whitefish Bay for 38 years. 

Visitation on is from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at the Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, W250N6505 Hwy. 164. Entombment will take place on Friday at 10AM at Holy Cross Cemetery(7301 W. Nash St., Milwaukee). Please meet at the cemetery office. The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the caregivers at Cedar Lake Health & Rehab for their kind and compassionate care of Allen.
