Sussex Lions Award $21,000 In Contributions To Local Organizations

Organization gives to various groups included Vision Forward of Milwaukee, Center for Deaf-Blind Persons, Lisbon Parks, Village of Sussex and Hamilton School District.

The Sussex Lions Club awarded $21,525 to local organizations during the club's annual Christmas dinner at the Boneyard Pub and Grille, according to the Sussex Sun.

The Lions gave $1,000 to the Vision Forward of Milwaukee, $500 to the Center for Deaf-Blind Persons, $5,880 to the Lisbon Parks, $1,300 to the village for a senior bus program and $400 for senior bingo, according to the Sussex Sun.

The paper also said that the Lions donated "$500 for the Hamilton Education Foundation, $500 for Boys and Girls State, $5,000 for scholarships, and $6,445 for the Hamilton High School press box."

"The great thing about the Sussex Lions Club is that every cent we raise goes right back to the community," said Lions member Ralph Modjeska to the paper.
