No One Injured In Accident Involving School Bus, Two Vehicles

Accident occurred Friday morning before school outside of Sussex Hamilton High School.

No one was injured Friday morning during an accident involving a school bus and two other vehicles in front of . 

Police, fire and medical personnel responded to the scene of the accident on Town Line Road on the east side of the school in the Town of Lisbon at about 7 a.m. 

According to Bryan Ruud, the district's assistant superintendent, one of the drivers was a student, who was attempting to turn left into the school parking lot.

As she made the turn, a collision occurred with another vehicle, causing both vehicles to be pushed into a school bus, he said. 

"There was very little damage to the school bus," Ruud said. "The bus was involved only to a point where it was waiting to make a turn a car got pushed back into it."

Students were on the bus at the time of the accident. Both vehicles were towed away from the scene. 

Ruud noted that this is a high traffic area at one of the busiest times during the day. 

"There is a lot going on out there," he said. 

An official with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department said the accident was still under investigation and citations have not been issued.
