New Woodside Elementary May Continue Using Temporary Classrooms

Enrollment bubble convinces planning commission to recommend extension of temporary classroom use for three more years.

Although members of the Sussex Plan Commission have voted to extend the Hamilton School District's use of a temporary, portable classroom facility for three more years at the nearly new Woodside Elementary School, commissioners also made it clear that the district will likely not be allowed any further extensions. "At what point does a temporary structure become a permanent structure?" Tony Lapcinski, commission chairman village president, asked at Thursday's meeting.
