A Good Time To Be A Good Neighbor
Village president suggests checking in on elderly or disabled neighbors, and helping them out in the wake of the storm.
Saying that "life is a little more challenging for us all in a storm like this," Sussex Village President Tony Lapcinski is asking residents to "be a good neighbor and try to make a difference for someone in these winter weeks." Lapcinski suggested that residents think of people in our community who "maybe we haven't seen recently or heard from, and just make a call to say hello and check on their well-being." For some people, it may be truly impossible because of age or disability to shovel their front and rear stoop or clear their sidewalk, "especially for people we may know who are homebound," Lapcinski said.
