Undefeated Chargers Now Alone Atop Greater Metro

The Chargers and the Lancers battle for first place in the Greater Metro Conference Tuesday, and arting Patch is blogging live starting at 7 p.m.

The Sussex Hamilton Chargers remained undefeated after a grind-it-out victory over the Brookfield Central Lancers Tuesday. The Chargers' 41-30 win over their conference foe puts the team in sole possesion of first place in the Greater Metro Conference at the halfway point in the season. Though the Chargers record remains unblemished, everyone who stepped on the court left with their share of bruises in a game Wisconsin Badgers Coach Bo Ryan would have enjoyed.  The Lancers stayed in a 1-3-1 zone throughout the night, and did what they could to trap Chargers' star guard Brady Ellingson on the perimeter to disrupt his three-point shooting ability. Chargers, Lancers to Meet in Crucial Greater Metro Matchup

Sussex Patch will be blogging live as Brookfield Central and Sussex Hamilton square of for sole possession of first place in the conference.

The Sussex Hamilton varsity basketball team has sported an untarnished record so far this season. The team’s perfection will be put to the test Tuesday as they hit the hard court for sole possession of first place in the Greater Metro Conference. The Chargers (11-0, 5-0 Greater Metro) will host the Brookfield Central Lancers (9-1, 5-0 Greater Metro) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton High School. The winner will take sole possession of first place in the conference at the halfway point in the season. The Chargers come into Tuesday’s matchup after posting a convincing 58-28 win over West Allis Hale in an emotional, and heart-warming game. Fans from both teams wore the colors of the opposition to show solidarity in the face of dual tragedies. …
