Read the in-depth details on the Village Park redevelopment, including possible construction costs and a timeline. The multmillion dollar reconstruction project has been nearly finalized, but actual construction will take years, officials say.
From an enormous baseball diamond complex to a splash-pad water feature, the Sussex Parks and Recreation Department is getting close to finalizing what Village Park could potentially look like after a major reconstruction project. Community members needed to help build improvements at Ridgeview and Spring Green for playground installations.
Sussex officials are still looking for community members to help build improvements at village parks. Amy Jeske, director of recreational services, said she’s reaching out to community groups in order to get volunteers to build the improvements at Ridgeview Park and Spring Green Park. The volunteers need to be put in place by late June in order to perform the community builds by late July or early August. “We’re not just looking for just Sussex organizations,” she said. “We’ll take school groups, other groups, or anyone who wants to help out. We’re glad to have them help, too.” Parks officials are searching for volunteers to build improvements to community parks in order to save money on construction costs. The idea was first floated at …

Just reading through this article and her comments but lets look deep into her history she did a project like this in elm grove and left. She is using this as a stepping stone for another job in a bigger community. If she loves our area so much why not live here and help pay for it. I have heard alot of her comments and think that she really does not understand our community. We need to band …   more ›
