Woman Charged After Overdosing on Heroin in a Sussex Home

Suspect, 24, tells police she had been clean for five months before she began shooting up heroin again.

A 24-year-old woman is facing drug charges after she overdosed on heroin inside a Sussex home in December. Marlana J. Socha was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs, one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison and $11,500 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Dec. 2, Waukesha County sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in the W24800 block of Stonegate Court after Socha had overdosed on heroin and passed out.
