UPDATE: Hundreds Still Without Power in Sussex Area
Weather is likely to blame for outages affecting customers in Sussex, Lannon and Lisbon.
This story was updated at 5:45 a.m. Friday Nearly 400 We Energies customers in and around Sussex remained without power Friday morning after a winter storm hit Waukesha County. The power failures began around 6 p.m. Thursday, when more than 1,000 homes and businesses lost their electricity in Sussex, Lannon and the Town of Lisbon. And as of 5:45 a.m. Friday, We Energies reported that there 263 customers without power in Sussex, 120 in Lisbon and just two in Lannon. The cause of the power failure is under investigation, but it appears to be weather related. A spokesman for We Energies could not be reached for comment Thursday night.
