Sussex's Outdoor Movie Night is here again, and really, what sounds better than watching a movie beneath the stars?

It's like a drive-in movie, but this time, you bring your own blanket. Sussex's annual Outdoor Movie Night at Weyer Park is here again, this time featuring the new animated family favorite Puss in Boots. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 10 starting at 7 p.m. Located right behind Village Hall and the Pauline Haass Public Library, the event at the park will be kicked off by music and family games. The movie is slated to begin at 8 p.m., and really, what sounds better than watching a movie under some Sussex stars? There will even be concessions available, just like a real movie theather. Key West Calling: Sussex Parks Director Moving to Tropics

Sussex is on the hunt for a new recreation director after Amy Flaherty announces she is moving to Key West.

Although the move from Sussex to Key West may seem daunting, Sussex Parks & Recreation Director Amy Flaherty says, “We decided to just go for it.” Flaherty spent more than two years planning and coordinating events and activities in Sussex, and most notably, helped to organize the possible reconstruction of Sussex Village Park. However, after the village posted the search for a new Director of Recreational Services on its website, Flaherty admits its time for her to move on – to Key West, FL. “My husband and I love tropical weather, so we’ve always wanted to move to Florida,” Flaherty said. “We were just in Key West for my birthday in May, and we decided to just go for it.” With her final day scheduled sometime in August, Flaherty says her…
