A 21-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges after he posed as a teenager on a social media website so he could meet up for a sexual rendezvous with a 13-year-old boy at a Hales Corners park, according to a criminal complaint. Daniel R. Schmidt was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: Schmidt met the victim on a website called skout.com, where he posed as a 16-year-old in order to gain access to the younger age group where he met the 13-year-old. This is not right, that is more than obvious. However. The article does say that the 13 year old sent pics of his genitals to the 21 year old. If that's true, the kid is not entirely innocent. What I want to know is where on earth were the 13 year old's parents? Why did he have unrestricted access to a computer and or a cellphone with interenet capabilities?! more ›
