Sussex May Be Getting A Meijer As Retailer Begins Planning Process

Sussex residents may have another place to shop as Meijer is working on a plan to put a store in the village, according to village leadership. The store, which would consist of retail, grocery and pharmacy, is expected to a little less than 200,000 square feet, according Village Administrator Jeremy Smith. "Any time we have the opportunity to have another business come into the community, certainly one with Meijer's history, is a positive for the community, but there is a lot of things through the planning process that we have to go through," he said on Wednesday. I know my wife would agree with PH; she goes to Sendik's sometimes. That would make a good balance in quality vs. convenience. I'm concerned about traffic flow through that area; hate to see another lighted intersection.   more ›
