PHOTOS: Sussex Starbucks Gets a Makeover

Just in time for the summer weather, Starbucks gets new indoor and outdoor furniture and new decor to liven up Sussex's only coffee shop.

Have you been to the Sussex Starbucks lately? In the past week, Sussex's only coffee shop underwent a complete makeover. Everything from the indoor tables and chairs to the outdoor patio set has been replaced with new fixtures. The indoor furniture is made of "recycled urban wood," and the outdoor space now has a couch. Starbucks even got all new sun umbrellas for the patio, a much-needed improvement it was lacking on March's 90 degree days. So swing by and check out the new wall fixtures, display shelves and comfy chairs. Also, be sure to tell us what you think of the new decor in the comments.

Melissa Weiss, the assistant to the village administrator, said she heard a lot of feedback about the designs and is focused on getting more before presenting anything to the Village Board. While I appreciate the board getting our imput (which they're supposed to do anyway) it's clear the residents don't want downtown Main street tied up in roundabouts, and for good reason. Wait for street reform when it's …   more ›
