8 Hamilton Students Qualify for DECA State Championship

A total of 19 students recently represented Hamilton at the Southeastern Wisconsin Career Development Conference at Kettle Moraine High School.

Hamilton High School students flexed their frontal lobes recently, and earned a trip to the state championship for DECA.  Students earned 13 awards and qualified eight students for state competition. A total of 19 students recently represented Hamilton at the Southeastern Wisconsin Career Development Conference at Kettle Moraine High School. The event drew more than 750 students from southeastern Wisconsin who competed in 19 different categories of business and marketing management. Hamilton DECA Students Head to Salt Lake City

Six Hamilton High School DECA students are advancing to the international conference in Salt Lake City, Utah this weekend to compete.

Six Hamilton High School DECA members competed March 13-15 at the Wisconsin DECA Career Development Conference in Lake Geneva after earning 29 awards at the state competition. The following students will advance to the DECA International Career Conference April 28-May 1 in Salt Lake City: Business education teacher and DECA advisor, Skip Hay will accompany the students to the conference. Hamilton's Charger Corner was also among 35 school stores nationwide that earned Gold certification this year and will be recognized at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City.

Hamilton School Store Recognized as One of Best in the Nation

The Charger Corner was one of 35 student run stores to be recognized by DECA.

Hamilton High School’s Charger Corner was among 35 school stores nationwide that earned Gold certification this year and will be recognized at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City. Hamilton students who worked on attaining certification were store managers Elizabeth Fricke and Erin Geszvain with assistance from faculty advisor and marketing teacher Skip Hay. Fricke and Geszvain will present at state and international career development conferences about customer service best practices that they learned by operating Charger Corner. Last year, Hamilton was among the top 16 school-based enterprises (SBE) in the nation. Charger Corner has been a Gold Level Certified SBE for six years. DECA’s initial …

Members of Hamilton High School DECA earned 29 awards and qualified 12 students for state competition. A total of 28 students recently represented Hamilton at the Southeastern Wisconsin Career Development Conference at Kettle Moraine High School. The event drew more than 800 students from southeastern Wisconsin who competed in 15 different categories of business and marketing management. National Recognition Earned By Hamilton H.S. Student Store

The Chargers Corner student store at Hamilton H.S. will be recognized in Orlando, FL for excellence and gold-level certification.

Two Hamilton High School students who co-manage the building's student store are responsible for earning gold-level recertification -- one of only 112 stores nationwide that operate at such a high level. Sarah Bregant's and Lauren Wirsbinski's work will be recognized by the student business and marketing education organization, DECA, at its International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Fl. The faculty advisor for the 'Chargers Corner' store is marketing teacher, Skip Hay. For five years the Hamilton Charger Corner has operated as a Gold Level Certified school-based enterprise (SBE). A total of 46 students represented Hamilton at the Jan. 8 Southeastern Wisconsin Career Development Conference at Kettle Moraine High School.
