Unless you've been abroad (for example, interplanetary travel), you know that it will be time to head to the polls on Tuesday. We've listed information about the candidates in all contested races on our Election Central page. There are only two contested races going on in the village. Incumbent Lynn Kristensen is competing with Brian Schneider for the Menomonee Falls seat on the Hamilton School Board, and it's been an interesting race after learning Kristensen signed the Walker recall petition. A school board member is recognized at the top level for her work with the Wisconsin Association of School Boards.
The following information was provided to Patch via a news release from the Hamilton School District. Hamilton School Board Member Deborah Briggs was honored Oct. 20 at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) regional meeting for reaching the highest level in the WASB Member Recognition Program. Briggs received the award from WASB Executive Director John Ashley, as seen in the photo. The WASB Member Recognition Program honors board members that attend a high number of WASB meetings, events and other professional development opportunities. Briggs has been a member of the Hamilton School Board since December, 1993.
