Hamilton High School graduate Michael Yu of Menomonee Falls has been named to the dean's list for the winter/spring term at Centre College, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.60 grade point average. Yu is the son of George Yu and Melissa Newhall of Menomonee Falls and is a graduate of Hamilton High School. Centre College is located in Danville, KY and was founded in 1819.

The following area students have been named to the dean's list at Lawrence University for the 2011-12 academic year: Founded in 1847, Lawrence draws its 1,450 students from nearly every state and more than 50 countries.

From making the Deans List to walking the graduation stage, this is a list of Sussex students who recently made the grade in college.
Bryan Mours of Sussex graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Master of Business Administration degree in business administration from RIT's E. Philip Saunders College of Business in the spring 2012 quarter. RIT enrolls 17,500 full- and part-time students in more than 200 career-oriented and professional programs. The following local residents achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or above and were named to the Drake University Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester: Drake University is a private, independent university in Des Moines, Iowa, with an enrollment of approximately 3,300 full-time undergraduate students from 50 states and 50 countries. The following areal students received bachelor degrees on June 10 from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI at its 163rd commencement ceremony. Students from the Sussex area attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout are recipients of the Chancellor's Award for the spring 2012 semester. The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above. University of Wisconsin-Platteville announced its 2012 spring semester Dean's List. Students receive this academic honor in the College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture and the College of Liberal Arts and Education must achieve a 3.75 grade point average and students in the College of Engineering, Math and Science must earn a 3.5 grade point average. Two former Sussex students attending UW-Green Bay made the honors list for the spring 2012 semester. Do you know these college scholars?
Two full-time students attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay proved they worked hard by making the school's honors list. Honors are given to students earning 3.74 to 3.50 gradepoint averages. William Hahn and Brian Kopfhammer from Sussex made the grade, and Kopfhammer's mother Nancy told Patch she couldn't be more proud. "(I'm) very proud of him as he goes through a LONG process to become a music educator," Nancy wrote. Do you know either of these Sussex students attending UW-Green Bay? The following residents were named to the Mount Mary College Spring 2012 Dean's List. The dean's list honors full-time students who have earned a 3.6 GPA or better while taking 12 or more credits during the recent semester. "The Dean's List is an excellent way to recognize our top students," says Dr. Laurel End, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Local Sussex residents were among 246 students named to the spring 2012 semester dean's list at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha: Bryan Jerde Robert Jaeger Lindsey Bouwens Claudia Ayala Marissa Meloy Amelia Puhr Jake Nagel Matthew Austiff Vincent Smith Honors are awarded on three levels. To receive highest honors, a student must earn a 4.0 (or straight A) grade-point average in the semester's work. High honors are awarded to students who achieve a GPA between 3.99 and 3.75, and honors students earn between 3.74 and 3.5 GPA. Spring 2012 saw the highest number of students making the dean's list since UW-Waukesha began tracking that data in fall 2005.
