From a high driver almost causing a head-on collision to an evil step-mother accused of killing a Sussex man, these are the most interesting Sussex police reports this week.
Monday, July 23 at 11:30 a.m. A 54-year-old Sussex woman living on the W234N7000 block of Flintlock Drive called police to report a black widow, and not the actual spider. The Sussex woman’s father passed away, and she told police she believed there was foul play. Although the medical examiner’s autopsy was done revealing nothing out of the ordinary, the woman was convinced her step-mother somehow killed her father. Police recorded the tip. Wednesday, July 25 at 6:32 p.m. Police and firefighters rushed to the condos on the W246N6600 block of Pewaukee Road Wednesday after a man failed to obey the mandatory burning ban ordered by the Village of Sussex. Cause of accident at Highway 164 and Lisbon Road remains unknown.
One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident early this morning near Lisbon Road and Highway 164, authorities said. The crash between the car and pickup truck occurred at 5:45 a.m., and both vehicles sustained moderate damage, according to a press release from the Sussex Fire Department. One person was pulled from a car and taken to the hospital. The extent of the victim's injuries are still unknown. Eleven firefighters responded to the call and stayed on the scene for one hour this morning. The crash remains still under investigation.

Details sketch on crash that sent two to hospital.
Waukesha County sheriff’s deputies are at the scene of an accident that took place at 11:53 a.m. today near Highway 164 and Main Street. Detective Steve Pederson said two people have been taken to the hospital, but their conditions or the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.
