'Merry Christmas, !*&@#' Note Accompanies Slashed Tires

A 61-year-old Sussex man is accused of slashing a car's tires and leaving a note saying "Merry Christmas" when another driver "steals" his parking spot in Pewaukee, according to a criminal complaint.

A parking spot dispute two days before Christmas left a Costco customer with flat tires and a note reading "Merry Christmas, (expletive)." Thomas V. Boese, 61, Sussex, was charged Wednesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail and $11,000 in fines. The charges stem from a parking spot dispute two days before Christmas, according to a criminal complaint. Pewaukee police were called to Costco, 443 Pewaukee Road, after someone reported a dispute between two customers. Store employees identified Boese as the suspect. Lisa Mux, Waukesha Wonk On the big lines at the grand opening of a new Costco store in Pewaukee The patrons were excited to be waiting in line to spend their money at a business which will create sustainable jobs for our community, jobs that pay a living wage and benefits. They, too, couldn’t wait to ditch their memberships to that other warehouse store and were telling anyone who would listen.
