When it's warm out, there's nothing better than strolling around with a frothy beverage. And with the recent string of outstanding weather Sussex has been having, this new and local deal is coming at the perfect time. Starbucks is launching its annual Happy Hour on Friday, where Frappuccinos are half-price between 3-5 p.m. through May 13. That means you can get one of the blended beverages for as little as $2. Now, I generally order a venti iced coffee with three pumps of sugar-free hazelnut (I know, I know, super boring), but I noticed this morning that they have a new offering: Chocolate Cookie Crumble. Just in time for the summer weather, Starbucks gets new indoor and outdoor furniture and new decor to liven up Sussex's only coffee shop.
Have you been to the Sussex Starbucks lately? In the past week, Sussex's only coffee shop underwent a complete makeover. Everything from the indoor tables and chairs to the outdoor patio set has been replaced with new fixtures. The indoor furniture is made of "recycled urban wood," and the outdoor space now has a couch. Starbucks even got all new sun umbrellas for the patio, a much-needed improvement it was lacking on March's 90 degree days. Did you know that Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee each day? According to CoffeeStatistics.com, that’s the equivalent of 146 billion cups a year. Starbucks is making the holiday season a little brighter for all those coffee lovers with a special BOGO deal. From 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Starbucks patrons will get a second free holiday beverage when they buy the first one. The BOGO deal is good on several holiday drinks, including the peppermint mocha in regular and “skinny” versions, caramel brulée latte, ginger bread latter and the company’s standing holiday tradition, the eggnog latte.
