The three incumbent trustees who ran unopposed in the recent local election raised their right hands to be sworn back into the Village Board.
Incumbents Pat Tetzlaff, Matthew Cmelya and Bob Zarzynski raised their right hands during Tuesday night's Village Board meeting to be sworn back in as Sussex Village Trustees. Each was called up near the American flag to repeat after Village Administrator Jeremy Smith, then pose for a quick photo. They ran unopposed during the April 3 election.

Village, county and national races make for a full ballot on Tuesday; be informed before you head out and cast your ballot.
Unless you've been abroad (for example, interplanetary travel), you know that it will be time to head to the polls on Tuesday. We've listed information about the candidates in all contested races on our Election Central page. There are only two contested races going on in the village. Incumbent Lynn Kristensen is competing with Brian Schneider for the Menomonee Falls seat on the Hamilton School Board, and it's been an interesting race after learning Kristensen signed the Walker recall petition. In addition, Tim Kay of Oconomowoc is running against Peter Wolff of Waukesha to become the next Lake County Municipal Judge. Zarzynski has served on the village's Finance and Personnel Committee, which village leaders say will make him a good fit to serve on the board.
The Sussex Village Board voted unanimously Tuesday to name Bob Zarzynski as the village’s newest trustee. Zarzynski, who is currently a citizen member of the village’s Finance and Personnel Committee and a member of the Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce, was sworn in Tuesday to fill the vacant seat created by the election of Greg Goetz as village president in April. He will serve out the remaining year of the term. Although sworn in Tuesday, Zarzynski was unable to remain for the board meeting due to a personal matter he needed to attend to. “I’m looking forward to serving,” he told the board. Joseph you should learn about your village officials. Bob Zarzynski and Matt Cmelya are not liberal individuals. Bob is a banker and Matt is a director of sales for his company. Does not seem like the two would go together (business minded individuals and liberalism)?   more ›
