A vocal supporter of Gov. Scott Walker was arrested for disorderly conduct Friday during a rally for Democrat Tom Barrett that featured former President Bill Clinton. During the morning rally at Pere Marquette Park in Milwaukee, the Walker supporter was holding a sign that read "Support Scott Walker NOT Union Thugs." In the middle of the crowd, he would put his sign in front of other signs supporting Barrett. Former President Bill Clinton visited Pere Marquette Park Friday to support Democrat Tom Barrett as Wisconsin's tumultuous recall election nears its end. Clinton made cooperation the theme of his speech and hammered Gov. Scott Walker for his "divide and conquer" tactics. "Everywhere I go in America, everywhere I go in the world, the only thing that's working is when you get everybody who's got a stake in the game in there, treat them with respect and people go forward together," Clinton said. Hamilton School District parents are being advised by law enforcement to be on the lookout for drug abuse in their children. Do you know how to do a Non-Convergence Test to help determine if your child has been smoking marijuana? That is one of the techniques police liaison Officer Mark Nihoris discussed on Apr. 19 at a presentation hosted by Get Connected. Get Connected is a parent network offered through the district. The network hosts series of informative presentations about parenting, technologies their children use, divorce and issues students deal with. He was getting into peoples' faces and shouting even before Clinton arrived. Causing a disturbance in public is what constitutes "disorderly conduct," which is what he was arrested and cited for. Educate yourself about local ordinances before posting, please.   more ›
