Baseball is big in Sussex, and this is where it is played.
The park spreads throughout 75 acres and features ball diamonds, a seasonal concession stand, sledding hill, nature trail, playfields/open space, indoor restrooms, playground equipment, three open air shelters, an enclosed building, tennis and volleyball courts and an 18-hole disc golf course. There are also plenty of play places for small children.

A small open air shelter attached to a concession stand is available for use by request. Indoor restrooms are available for park users during regular park hours. There is a larger playground area with benches for fun outings with kids. An iceskating/skateboarding rink offers seasonal opportunities for the daring; there are a few rails and ramps to add a little challenge to the ride. The park is on the grounds of a WI National Guard Armory, where young and old can view a large piece of field artillery.
