Sussex Celebrates National Night Out with Library’s Ice Cream Social
Residents of all ages came out to eat ice cream and meet members of the police and fire departments.
Sussex residents celebrated National Night Out Wednesday at in conjunction with the Friends of the ’s ice cream social, which marks the conclusion of the Library's summer reading program.
National Night Out events take place across the country this week in an effort to help communities fight back against crime.
The Friends of the Pauline Haass Public Library hold the ice cream social annually as a way of thanking the community for supporting the library. Ice cream with brownies, and chocolate syrup were served.
