Sussex Outreach Services recently hosted its annual Community Fun Day, and it was a big success. SOS organizers wanted to thank sponsors for helping make the event an enjoyable day for local families.
"I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude to you for your assistance in making the second Sussex Outreach Services (SOS) Community Fun Day a success," said SOS Executive Director Jennifer Waltz.
Well over 40 businesses in the area donated items for a silent raffle, food, chairs, and other equipment to help the day run smoothly. It was also a profitable day. More than $5,000 was raised to help need families in Sussex.
"The list is indeed long, but it takes so many to create an event of this size. Thank you to each and every one of you for your part in supporting Sussex Outreach Services and Food Pantry," Waltz said. "With our business sponsors, food sales, silent auction, and raffle over $5,000 has been raised to date...It is an honor to be a part of such a community as this one. Thank you for supporting our mission to help those less fortunate."
