Local Fitness Center Launches Fundraising Campaign for SOS

Sussex's Fitness Revolution started a two month campaign to get area residents in shape while raising money for one of the village's most important resources.

Fitness Revolution, the local personal training and boot camp business, is looking to get area residents in shape for a local cause.

From April 20 to June 30, will be hosting a fundraiser drive to benefit the , as part of national fundraising campaign The local business will be joining dozens of other Fitness Revolution locations nationwide for the two month charity drive.

Having helped numerous clients reach their health and fitness goals, FR Sussex owners Jim & Erin Naatz have set their own goal to raise $2,000 in 60 days.

“While it’s an ambitious target, I’m confident that we can all pull together to help those in need, especially since it’s a cause that really matters to us,” Erin Naatz said.

“The Sussex Outreach Services does a great job, and coming into the summer months we know their shelves start to look a bit more empty, and this is the perfect opportunity to change that.”

In addition to collecting loose change and donating a portion of sales, Naatz has some big plans. In the coming weeks, they will be hosting a series of events including T-shirt sales, charity boot camp workouts, and a sales contest and raffle for big prizes.

“We are also looking to local businesses for donations of gift cards for products or services that we can offer to participants for prizes," said Naatz. "We just received a very generous donation of products from local Sussex manufacturer, . We’re going all-out to reach our goal, and we want both our members and our community to be able to have some fun in the process.”

Fitness Revolution International has set a goal of raising $50,000 between every location in their nationwide Revolution for a Cause drive. FR President Nick Berry said the company's growth sparked the campaign.

“We’ve grown so much over the last year that we wanted to leverage our contacts and do something truly great," Berry said. "We’re poised to make a difference. By setting such a lofty goal, I wanted to make sure we did.”

Help support the cause by joining Jim and Erin Naatz and the rest of FR Sussex team for on May 5, June 2 June 30 at 9 a.m.

Naatz said $10 gets you in the door for the workout and makes you eligible for some great prizes. Space is limited, so reservations are required.
