Sussex July 4 Fireworks and Concert

The Village of Sussex is bumping up the fun at its annual fireworks and festival, with the addition of Top 40s cover band Rabid Aardvarks.

Sussex Fourth of July Event and Fireworks

Free event held at 6 p.m. July 4, at Sussex Village Park

For the first time ever, the annual Fourth of July fireworks at Sussex Village Park will include a little bit more. Thanks to sponsorships from area businesses like Boneyard Pub & Grille, Sussex Parks and Recreation was able to hire the band Rabid Aardvarks, and with a silly name like that, you know it'll be a good time.

The band plays Top 40s cover music, and was recently voted as Wisconsin's best cover band. The Rabid Aardvarks will play at the Lion's Open Air Shelter at Sussex Village Park from 6 - 9 p.m. to provide some solid entertainment while residents grill out in the park. The annual fireworks show will begin shortly after.

Don't miss the great live musical performance. It's the first time in the history of the annual Fourth of July fireworks show that the village has hired a band to play.
