The Hamilton High School track and field had a strong showing at the WIAA State Track and Field meet over the weekend, although they didn't come away with a top finish.
The boys 4x400 Meter Relay team notched the best finish of the athletes sent to La Crosse to compete. Drew Patterson, Chais Blackburn, Brett Buehler, and Josh Desorcy qualified in 10th place in the preliminary race on Friday. However, on Saturday they turned up the speed, and finished in fourth place in the final race.
