The Hamilton Chargers' season came to an abrupt end Friday with 35-28 loss to Verona, according to Wissports.com.
The deciding play of the game came midway through the fourth quarter when Dom Wise went for 17-yard touchdown, breaking a 28-28 tie for the Wildcats.
The game was a back-and-forth battle in which the Chargers took a touchdown lead on four separate occasions only to have the Wildcats claw their way back to a tie.

The Chargers were led by Drew Patterson who rushed for 172 yards and two scores. Patterson also scored on a 99-yard kickoff return in the middle of the third quarter.
