Hamilton High School senior Nate Goecks will spend Monday and Tuesday next week in Madison after clinching a spot in the WIAA boys golf state tournament.
Goecks shot a 4-over-par 75 on Tuesday in the Brookfield Central Sectional, picking up the last individual spots available. Goecks made a double bogey on No. 1 and a bogey on No. 2, but was solid from there and got into the state field by one shot.
University Ridge in Madison hosts the state tournament.
