Chargers Survive Late Rally from Archrivals

The Chargers remained undefeated Tuesday after holding off a 21-6 rally by the Menomonee Falls Indians in the fourth quarter.

The Sussex Hamilton Chargers staved off a fierce fourth-quarter rally on the road Tuesday against their archrivals in Menomonee Falls.

The Chargers poured it on early and often in front of a raucous crowd in the cozy confines of Menomonee Falls High School. Though on the road, the Chargers had plenty of support from Hamilton fans clad in black.

The Chargers held the Indians (0-7, 0-3 Greater Metro) to just two points in the first quarter and lead 11-2 after one. At the end of the third quarter the Chargers led 46-26, and it appeared the game was wrapped in a neat holiday bow. However, the Indians staged a rally in the fourth quarter and outscored the Chargers 21-6. Fortunately, the clock was on the Chargers’ side and they escaped with a 52-47 victory.
