Chargers Golfer Finishes 27th in State

Nate Goecks completed two rounds at the WIAA state meet at 12-over par.


A second consecutive 78 kept Hamilton senior Nate Goecks in the same spot on the leaderboard after the final round of the WIAA Division 1 boys state golf championships.

Goecks shot 156 for the 36-hole event, tied for 27th.

After making only one birdie for the first 27 holes at University Ridge in Madison, Goecks birdied Nos. 11, 15 and 16 to help stay at 6-over for the day.

RJ Budd of Sauk Prairie was the individual champion with a 143 total.
