Rumors Sports Bar and Grill - Sussex, WI

Last Friday we decided to finally try . We have been meaning to go there especially after having heard that their burgers were excellent. 

To start, the atmosphere is great, the decor is simple yet cozy. The service is fantastic. We each ordered a different type of burger and poppers to start.

The poppers were good, but again, nothing out of the ordinary. I did not feel any type of tanginess in the cream cheese, and the jalapeños themselves were not spicy, but I did like the crunchiness of the breading. 

I decided to go for the 3 Alarm Burger. Not quite sure what the 3 Alarm was about as there was a bit of spicy but nothing close to be alarming. But the burger itself was extremely tasty, cooked very well, quality meat and its toppings were excellent. I was just disappointed it was not spicy; therefore the name is a tad deceiving.

My older daughter went for the mushroom and Swiss cheese burger. Again the burger was excellent, but the only complaint here is one of two things: either not the best of wines was used, or it did not have enough time to evaporate as it still had a strong and somehow sour taste of the wine.

My husband chose the stuffed black and blue burger. Again it was a very, very tasty burger and full of flavor. I just wonder why is it called "stuffed" as the blue cheese was on the top of the burger.

Now, the BIG hit were the homemade chippers. Absolutely fantastic, warm, crunchy and perfectly salty.

So, all in all, it was a very pleasant dinner and a place we will certainly go back to often, and I'm looking forward to trying other things from the menu.
