students are looking to help their school programs while fundraising in a less traditional way.

Students at the school will participate in the first annual Woodside Fun Run during their lunch period Friday to raise money for the school’s Home & School Organization and break from the traditional fundraising efforts of selling pizza and wrapping paper.

“We feel strongly that we’re taking the idea of school fundraisers in a positive direction, and are hoping that we can be a great example for other schools that may be considering similar events,” run coordinator Kristin Kebis said.
