VIDEO: Templeton Students Learn With Real Human Heart

Sussex seventh graders play with a real human heart during science class, courtesy of a local parent and his work at Children's Hospital.

One local parent is taking classroom learning to the next level. 

"Mike Danduran, a parent of three children in the including seventh-grader Madision, volunteered in the classroom of seventh grade science teacher Mary Caucutt," it says in the video. "Mr. Danduran, an exercise physiologist at Children’s Hospital, explained that he works with pathologist to find out how to prevent deaths."

The students took turns touching the hearts while Danduran taught them about its different components. Students saw four human hearts from different people, including a teenager, adult and even a 3-month-old child.
